G&M has been recycling aluminum cans since 1970 and is committed to doing their part to keep our environment clean.

G&M understands the impact the packaging of their products makes on the environment. In 1970 G&M decided to help reduce the environmental fingerprint their product packaging creates and open an aluminum recycling center on site. Since 1996 G&M has recycled over 3 million pounds of aluminum.

The recycling center is open Monday – Friday from 9 AM – 4 PM and Saturdays from 9 AM – 12 PM.

September Recycling Promotion Benefits Habitat for Humanity

During the month of September, G&M’s recycling center will donate 1¢ per pound of aluminum cans recycled to the Habitat for Humanity program.  Habitat for Humanity is a Christian organization that helps low-income families build their own homes.  The philosophy of Habitat for Humanity is that the economically disadvantaged need capital, not charity, and co-workers, not caseworkers, in order to obtain  a decent house in a decent community.  Habitat for Humanity just finished its 51st home in April, and they are working on home #52 which will be finished in the fall.  All donations will go towards their 53rd home, which will start in two weeks.
